What we do
learning.com.au is an Australian online course marketplace. We help career changers and upskillers find, compare and enquire about vocational, higher education and short courses from a range of Australian providers. learning.com.au is owned and operated by Candlefox Pty Ltd, ABN 50 661 807 709.
Who we’re for
We built learning.com.au for adults who are changing careers or building on the skills they already have. Most of our users are fitting study around work, family and other commitments, so we focus on the details that affect those decisions: what a course costs, how long it takes, how flexible it is and where it can lead.
The courses you’ll find here
Most courses on our site are vocational education and training (VET) courses from registered training organisations (RTOs). RTOs are registered by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and listed on training.gov.au. You’ll also find higher education courses from providers registered with the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA).
We also list short courses. Some lead to nationally recognised units of competency or skill sets and are delivered by RTOs. Others are non-accredited, which means they don’t lead to a nationally recognised qualification and may be delivered by providers that aren’t RTOs. These can still be a practical way to build a specific skill quickly.
Each course page shows who delivers the course and whether it’s nationally recognised.
We don’t list courses from TAFE institutes. If you’re looking for a TAFE course, your state or territory’s TAFE website is the best place to start.
How we make money
learning.com.au is free for you to use. We earn money from course providers when you submit an enquiry about one of their courses. When you enquire, we pass your details to that provider so they can contact you about the course. You never pay us anything; any course fees are paid directly to the provider.
How we choose the providers we list
Before we list a provider, we check that they’re an active Australian business and, where it applies, that they’re registered to deliver the courses they offer. For RTOs, we check their registration on training.gov.au, and for higher education providers we check the TEQSA National Register.
Listing a provider isn’t an endorsement of their courses. We recommend checking a provider’s credentials, fees and refund policy before you enrol.
